The Stanislaus Family Justice Center along with sponsors Stanislaus County of Education and Without Permissionis is continuing its series of free-admission films with a documentary about sex-trafficking. SFJC offers help and hope for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking. Their goal is to offer comprehensive services in one safe place by collaborating and coordinating with partner agencies. I am Jane Doe chronicles the epic battle that several American mothers are waging on behalf of their middle-school daughters, victims of sex-trafficking on Backpage.com, the adult classifieds section that for years was part of the Village Voice.
There will be a Q&A with Advocates from Haven and Without Permission and a representative from Stanislaus Law Enforcement following the film.
